how someone can take a set of plans, add some sticks, stones, nails, etc and lots of hard work to create a home.

Getting bigger

All this work is really changing the look of the house from the outside.

Changing inside

Beyond this door from the kitchen to the living room is where the changes are happening. Notice how we have plastic up keeping dust to a minimum.

The fireplace that was in the living room is being moved to the basement family room and the wall with the fireplace, window and door is being knocked out to expand the living room. Our current deck is/was outside that door.

We moved as much furniture as we could into our dining room and sealed it all off in plastic.

What was a guest bedroom is being turned into mom's new bathroom.

Work Crews

The thought of sharing my home with work crews was not exactly something I looked forward to. My concerns were not to be realized. In fact, I was IMPRESSED and continue to be with each new crew that arrives. I have never seen such hard work. I expected to see lots of smoke breaks, trash and loud foul language. None of that. Each crew has been courteous, cleaned up after themselves AND worked diligently at their tasks. There were hot days and yet men pounded, sawed, carried and worked and worked with very few breaks. I was tired just watching them! In addition they all did it with a SMILE!
